How important is the info given in boxes in NCERT books

in the question paper is it possible to ask questions related to activities given in the text book. like the yellow box etc. is it necessary to teach in the class. is it content orented study is requiered.

See, the yellow box information is for additional reading. Some questions may be asked from this section too, as CBSE is going to introduce 3 level question paper this time. 1st for brilliants, 2nd for average students and 3rd for below average students. Some question may be given for brilliant students from this section.
