Specifications about Social Science Syllabus for class X

There are Total 5 units. It will be a 3 hours theory paper for 80 marks and 20 marks are assigned to internal assessment. Please note the following changes:

Sub-unit 1.1 : Events and processes :
1. Nationalism in Europe :
2. Nationalist Movement in Indo China :Factors leading to growth of rationalism in India
3. Nationalism in India : Civil Disobedience
Note: You can choose any one from point 1 and 2, point 3 is compulsory.

Sub-unit 1.2 : Economies and livelihoods :
4. Industrialization 1850s - 1950s
5. Urbanization and urban lives
6. Trade and Globalization
Note : You can choose any two from these three points.


Sub-unit 1.3 : Culture, Identity and Society
7. Print culture and nationalism.
8. History of the novel
Note : You can choose any one topic from these two points.

Sub-unit 1.4 : Map Work (2 Marks)

There is no change in other units.

So, in the Board Exams will we get an option between the questions related to the chapters in which we have a choice?

In our history book(classX), there are several texts labelled as boxes, defination boxes, sources and the descriptions against the pictures. I would like to know whether the contents given as above would have to be prepared for the board exams.
