percntage claculation?

hi,i did my class 12 from cbse nd i had 6 subjects namely.
english,physics,chemistry,mathematics,biology,fine arts(painting)..

so how shud i calculate my percentage??
i always take best five subjects,,is this a rule??can i do this
or should i take all six subjects in percentage calculation?
