Three horses are tethered at 3 corners of a triangular plot having sides 20m, 30m and 40 m with ropes of 7m length each. Find the area of the plot which can be grazed by the horses. Ans is 77 m2

Answer is very simple

Consider triangle ABC

Let angle A be a
B be b
C be c

Area which can be grazed =sum of areas of the 3 sectors with angle a , b, c and r=7cm

Apply the formula of the sectors
THen take out the common i.e. 22/7 *r*r/360

sum of all the angles is 180

so a + b + c = 180

THen u can find out the area grazed
