Subjects for hearing impaired child cbse class XI

My son is an hearing impaired child (handicapped) and appeared for cbse 2007 class X exam and expected to obtain around 70-72% marks. I myself teach him and have M.Sc (chemistry) degree. Till class X he was depended on me for notes, understaning etc.. Such children are weak in language and same is with my son also. In science and maths subjects he expects 70% marks in cbsc X exam. In existing school where he has completed class 1 to 10th, science stream is not there. Kindly advise subjects to be taken in class XI. and changed of school will affect my ward.

Certainly, change in school will affact your ward b'coz he has been habitual of living with the school building, teachers, students and the surrounding of the school. You may contact special schools around you or take advice of the teachers dealing your child for past few years. Rehabilitation Council of India may be helpful to you.

My son is studying in normal regular school and not in special school. With wearing hearing aids, he can listen/lip read and give reply, if spoken in front of him. He is speaking almost normal language.This is possible for him with regular practice and hard labour and taking help of speech therapist. Now we have to decide future course of line, considering his disabilty and accordingly to choose subjects and school.

As expected he got 72% marks in Secondary School Examination CBSE-2007 declared today. At the initial stage, we have taken a view to continue in the same school with commerce stream.
